So, its obvious that I've not done with this blog what I've said I would do.  I can't guarantee that I will continue to do with this blog what I said I would do, either.  It's extremely likely that it'll be yet another year or so until I post here.  On the other hand, it could be as soon as tomorrow.  For now, you (if anyone is in fact reading this thing) should assume that I'll post whenever the Muse strikes me, assuming that I remember both my username and password.  Also, it's likely I'll have consumed alcohol at some point.

On the topic of alcohol, I'd like to inform you that it's an extremely BAD idea to try and defend your wife's honor while drunk.  Even if it's only on the internet.  See, the Beloved has been being shat upon by the Altdot forums for being insane.  She's not, by the way.  She has issues, yes, but she's improved so much over the last five years as to render them almost meaningless. ... So, here I am.  Sitting on my couch in front of the tv, listening to my Beloved go on about this and that as Alton Brown informs me the proper way to pop popcorn.  Obviously, it's a slow day at the Food Network.  I nod my head occasionally and grunt in response, and try to wrap my mind around the concept of writing my first ever blog entry.  This is it.  The inagural post.  The One Which Shall Set The Tone For All That Follow.  It's an awesome responsibility.  I could be philosophical, mind expanding, political, sexy, cool, rude, nasty, funny, nice, or all at once.  Much, my Beloved informs me, like I am in real life, and why haven't I taken the trash out, yet?  Such is my Beloved's loving, yet practical support of my undertaking.

For now, I think I'll leave this endeavor open-ended.  Brave of me, I know.  Please let me know what you think of this blog, or of me, or of anything in general.  Heck, your comments may actually cause me ... (more)
